About: About

What am I about?

Me in three: Curious, persistent, energetic!

What's with all the quotes? I find meaning and motivation in quotes. In fact, I have post-its with some of my favourite ones stuck onto my screen as reminders to guide my focus.

Well, what's my favourite? "Follow the path of the unsafe, independent thinker. Expose your ideas to controversy. Fear less the label of crackpot than the stigma of conformity." - Thomas J. Watson

What keeps me calm under pressure? Music. Italian music. Random right? I studied Italian for eight years and am fairly proficient in the language. I find the musical tone and style relaxing. 4-7-8 breathing helps too!

What do I value in a work environment? Collaboration, mutual respect, and encouragement. I'm adaptable, agile and look for organisational cultures that value team players. I believe it's essential to bring everyone on the journey, to help people thrive and create optimal customer experiences together.

Morning fuel? Americano (Long Black).

Why though?

You may have heard of the mighty Japanese concept Ikigai? Ikigai brings meaning and happiness to one’s world by connecting what you love, what you are good at, what can earn you money and what the world needs. My ikigai is my purpose. It sets my direction as a professional and global citizen.

Hobbies: I love to watch, play and follow sports. Most recently, I have taken up tennis and am actively attending reformer pilates classes to work on balance and strength. I enjoy sudoku puzzles and find they help improve my analytical and thinking skills. I am also an avid reader and have just finished Digital Fortress by Dan Brown. Atomic Habits by James Clear, Conversational Intelligence by Judith E. Glaser and anything Brene Brown are my business go-tos! For the power of poetry I turn to Nikita Gill's modern and powerful words!

Family and friends: A big part of my journey are my family and friends. They have helped me become the person I am today and support me endlessly. I am very grateful for my tribe and have them to thank.

Making a difference: I aim to leave a mark on the world by making a positive impact. I am a big advocate of sharing knowledge through mentoring and returning to my University as an alumni guest speaker. I am also contributing to coursework activities where I help improve the learning experience for the next wave of graduates.
